House in Sagano Arashiyama is a two-storey wooden house planned for a two-family family in Sagano, Arashiyama, Kyoto. The area surrounding the site is a strictly landscaped area with detailed restrictions, such as tiled roofs, external wall colour and eaves shape. On the west side facing the large garden, wooden fittings and lowered eaves are horizontally continuous, creating an open space. The second floor has an inner deck and the bathroom window can be opened to create a sense of continuity with the outside space. The roof shows the continuity of the wooden beams as they are, connecting each room to the other and giving a sense of depth.
